A study of the transmision of the deformation at the ordered domain interfaces in a TiAl lamellar alloy

In this paper, the processes of deformation transmission accross ordered domain interfaces in γ TiAl is studied by in situ straining experiments. Two crystallographic situations are analysed. In the first case, the results are explained by a reaction involving the incident and transmitted dislocations. In the second case, the transmission of the deformation has been found difficult.
