Abstract
Epitaxial thin films of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3–δ were sputtered in pure oxygen on LaAlO3. By in situ postannealing in an oxygen atmosphere TC and TMI are found to be optimized to values of 274 K and 286 K, respectively. These values are much higher than those obtained for films in the literature. The results show that the magnetic properties strongly depend on the oxygen content in the films.
