Abstract :
We present a study of the electrical conductivity of i-Al–Cu–Fe thin films. Good quality thin films of thickness as low as 125 Å could be fabricated by sequential evaporation and heat treatment. The behaviour of the temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity at low T, as well as the magnetoconductivity, was studied. A clear evidence was obtained for a 3D to 2D transition of the quantum interference contributions as the film thickness is decreased below ≅103 Å.
