Abstract :
The influences of various surface treatments on indium-tin-oxide (ITO) anodes on the performance of OLED devices are investigated by the Taguchi Method. These surface treatments include chemical and mechanical processes under different conditions. In particular, we find that the chemical treatment producing ultra-smooth ITO film surfaces does not provide the highest efficiency and luminescence. The implications of the optimized surface treatment conditions from Taguchi Methods are discussed through device testing.
