Structural and electrical properties of superionic materials in the mixed system CdI2–Ag2O–PbO2

This paper deals with an experimental investigation concerning physical characterization of a variety of compositions of the mixed system (CdI2)a–(Ag2O–PbO2)100−a where 25⩽a⩽70 in the solid state. Detailed electrical, thermal, structural, spectroscopic and ion transport studies have indicated the formation of silver ion conducting superionic phases in several compositions of the ternary system.
