Abstract :
Ferroelectric/antiferroelectric layered ceramics in PbZrO3–PbTiO3 system were prepared by a mixed oxide method where Pb(Zr0.52TiO0.48)O3 and Pb(Zr0.97TiO0.03)O3 were selected as the ferroelectric and antiferroelectric phase, respectively, and the dielectric and ferroelectric properties were evaluated. Dielectric constant of the layered ceramics fit the series rule well and dielectric loss was larger than those of the individuals. The maximum polarization and remanent polarization increased with volume ratio of the ferroelectric phase. The effects of interfaces upon dielectric and ferroelectric properties of the layered ceramics were also discussed.
