Abstract
La1−xAgxMnO3 compounds have been prepared for x=0–0.35. The X-ray diffraction patterns for x=0 and 0.05 could be refined by using Pbnm space group, whereas for x≥0.10, they could be refined by using R3̄c space group. Measurements of ac susceptibility show that all the above Ag-doped samples exhibit paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transitions in the temperature range 251–294 K. The freezing of spin glass like behavior has been observed at around 100 K. The above Ag-doped samples exhibit metal–insulator transitions in the temperature range (TMI) 242–290 K. The resistivity data in the metallic region could be fitted to the expression corresponding to electron–electron scattering mechanism.
