Comments on the paper: observation of dislocation dynamics in the electron microscope, by B.W. Lagow et al.

We compare in situ TEM observations of dislocation dynamics reported by Lagow et al. in a recent paper with the abundant results obtained in this field in the seventies. We propose alternative explanations to some of the observed phenomena, both on dislocation motion in bcc metals and slip transmission in stainless steels.
