Abstract :
Nanocrystalline cerium disilicide was synthesized via a convenient co-reduction route by the reaction of metallic potassium with anhydrous cerium trichloride and sodium fluorosilicate in an autoclave at 650 °C. The as-prepared product was characterized and studied by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
