Abstract
Synchrotron radiation diffraction was performed with high lateral resolution on a nickel- base superalloy turbine blade. The full internal strain state of both phases γ and γ′ was determined in transmission and reflection geometry which show excellent agreement. The lattice parameters vary through the cross section of the blade owing to internal stresses on the micrometer scale and compositional variations.
