Abstract :
Na2CuP2O7 crystals were synthesized by hydrothermal technique at moderate pressure–temperature conditions. The maximum degree of crystallinity is observed at critical concentration of initial components, beyond which the crystallinity collapses sharply to minimum. Solubility studies have revealed, positive thermal coefficient of solubility in a H3PO4 solvent with relatively high enthalpy. Thermal behaviour and structural coordination of the prepared materials were investigated, respectively, using DTA/TGA and FTIR measurements. Magnetic results have revealed; it is a frequency and temperature dependent prospective paramagnetic material.
