Neutrino mass and unification

I discuss the implications of the observed masses and mixings of neutrinos for unification beyond the standard model and point out the important role that ongoing searches for the remaining mixing angle θ 13 , neutrinoless double beta decay as well as possible searches for a Z ′ at LHC can play in this discussion.
