Abstract :
AA 3105 aluminum alloy with a strong β fiber rolling texture was cold rolled to different reductions along the original transverse direction. The texture development during pseudo cross-rolling was investigated by X-ray diffraction. The results show that the B′ {0 1 1}〈1 1 1〉, S′ {1 2 3}〈17 22 9〉 and C′ {1 1 2}〈1 1 0〉 orientations are unstable and gradually rotate to the β fiber in the new sample reference frame. While the C′ orientation moves through the S′ orientation towards the B′ orientation during rolling, the B′ orientation moves towards the B orientation along the α fiber. After the crystallites reach the {0 1 1}〈6 5 5〉 orientation, they gradually rotate to the β fiber between the B and S orientations along different paths. The S′ orientation has the lowest stability during rolling, and the stability of the B′ orientation is higher than that of the C′ orientation.
