Abstract :
The so called “flip-flop” effect has been observed with a 11 μm diameter tin granule irradiated with α-particles of two different energies. This effect can be used to build an energy resolving and selfrecovering detector out of Superheated Superconducting Granules (SSG). In addition, an intermediate state effect has been found with tin granules of diameters between 12 μm and 50 μm, which also proved to be energy dependent.
