Low temperature detectors: summary and perspectives

Recent detector developments on superconducting superheated granule detectors, superconducting tunnel junctions and bolometric devices presented at the Sixth International Workshop on Low Temperature Detectors are summarized. Physics applications where cryogenic detectors appear to be needed or competitive are reviewed. Some future physics applications and major lines of developments are briefly considered.
