Ionization energy loss by charged particles Part I. The Landau distribution

As a starting point for discussion of the energy loss by charged particles due to ionization on passage through matter parameterizations, accurate to better than 0.01% of their own value, are presented for the Landau distribution of such energy loss and also for the probability that the energy loss will exceed a certain value.
