A facility for high-pressure X-ray diffraction at HASYLAB

The source characteristics and instrumental function of a beamline for high-pressure X-ray diffraction at Hamburger Synchrotronstrahlunglabor (HASYLAB) are presented. The current set-up for energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction is detailed and the experimental possibilities and limitations are discussed. Off-line facilities for sample preparation and pressure measurement are described. Current developments are outlined briefly.
