Abstract :
We have built a 20 × 20 mm2 high-resolution (60 μm FWHM) two-dimensional multiwire proportional counter for X-ray speckle spectroscopy. The detector works with a 10 bar ArC2H6 (8020) mixture. The position is determined by the delay line method (TD = 1 μs) and has a time resolution in the microsecond range.
