Abstract :
Experimental results of ageing effects in proportional counters are presented. The measurements were carried out for 158 ZEUS-BAC gas system monitoring counters. Deterioration of the pulse height distribution in azimuth and along the anode wire are presented. The influence of water admixture on counting gas is also described.
