A self-adjusting delay circuit for pixel read-out chips

A simple concept for automatic adjustment of important VLSI-circuit properties was proposed in (Fischer and Jِns, Nucl. Instr. and. Meth.). As an application, a self-adjusting monoflop is reviewed, and detailed measurements are discussed regarding a possible implementation in the LHC 1 read-out chip for the ATLAS experiment (ATLAS Internal Note, 1995).
