Abstract :
The FINUDA online monitoring system is based on an object oriented approach in the framework of the ROOT package, recently developed at CERN. The Raw Data Tape is re-organized into a Hit Data Tape. The HDT event is structured as a tree of hits available as objects, easily correlated to each other by dedicated ROOT macros. This design allows a high flexibility, an essential feature for an online monitoring system.
