Ignition facility reaction chamber concepts

Two basic features of the reaction chamber for a Heavy Ion Driven Ignition Facility (HIDIF) are discussed: the chamber size and the chamber material. While the US National Ignition Facility (NIF) chamber design is a natural starting point for these considerations, there are reasons to consider for HIDIF other solutions than those selected for NIF.
