Abstract
In this paper, we examine the behaviors of individuals faced with decision situations in which they have to make intertemporal choices. We observe that the temporal structure of actual behavior qualitatively corresponds to the one of the theoretical structures. Individuals also improve their scores with repetition. These results show that the concept of backward induction seems empirically valid.
