Abstract :
This work analyzes particular characteristics of the bremsstrahlung differential cross-section integrated over the acceptance of small collimators. We show that a linearly polarized component of the bremsstrahlung spectrum with a reasonably narrow energy distribution can be obtained without the use of magnetic spectrometers by a judicious choice of the positions of collimators for the scattered electron and photon.
