Abstract :
A detailed comparison of calculated and measured rocking curves for a water-cooled crystal and for a liquid nitrogen-cooled crystal is presented. This report is a part of an extensive model study that comprised finite element analysis, diffraction calculations based on the theory of Takagi–Taupin using a computer code specially developed for this purpose and finally a comparison with experiments. Excellent agreement has been obtained both for low (∼1 W/mm2) and high (∼170 W/mm2) power density.
