Abstract
A complete characterization of the neutron field was performed at 3 representative areas around the 590 MeV Ring cyclotron of the Paul Scherrer Institute. The neutron spectra were measured with a Bonner spheres system, 209Bi and 232Th fission track detectors. Their shapes are very different according to the location; neutron energies up to about 200 MeV were recorded. The dosimetry was performed with various active instruments: 2202D, LB 6411, LINUS, nm 500, nm 500X, HANDI, REM 500. The comparison between the H*(10) values determined by different systems is presented and discussed.
