Abstract :
A new γ-ray self-absorption correction for a random-shaped sample is discussed to extract characteristic information of fissile material through its γ-spectrum. And it is proved by a great deal of numeric simulation tests that such a new type of correction is free from the geometry size and shape of the even sample under the condition of L⪢R>3/μ. Using the correction, multi-composition material can be calculated directly. Moreover, the correction can also be used in studying the layered sample analysis and the layered structure property can be attained directly.
