Abstract :
A 233U α-source has been produced, aiming at an investigation of the 229mTh recoil nuclei. Some difficulties had to be overcome, like a very small quantity of the 233U material available and a very low allowed threshold for the activity of such source. This contribution describes the production method of the 233U α-source, fulfilling these demands.
