Abstract
Reflection and transmission of polarized neutrons from layered system in the presence of a constant (DC) and a rotating (RF) magnetic fields which are perpendicular to each other are considered theoretically and numerically. The spin-flip reflection and transmission coefficients provide information about the depth profiles of the DC field and about the amplitude of the RF one. Making use of trilayer resonator system, the residence time of the neutron in the middle resonant layer is enhanced at specific wave vectors which depends also on the RF field frequency. The spin-flip reflection coefficients exhibit a resonant character leading to an increased sensitivity to the RF field frequency. It is demonstrated that the amplitude of the spin-flip reflectivity increases and its width decreases when the neutron density in the resonant layer increases.
