Abstract
The flour of black gram (Phaseolus mungo) was used instead of soybean meal as a substitute for pollen in the diet of honey bees (Apis mellifera). The colonies which were fed with pollen substitute containing black gram produced a higher number of frames, resulting in higher production of honey compared with those fed on meal containing soybean.
