Abstract
An integrated flow model combines the capabilities of a traditional flow simulator with a petrophysical algorithm. The petrophysical algorithm computes seismic attributes in a forward modeling procedure that is tightly coupled to output from the traditional flow simulator. In addition to traditional reservoir simulation, the integrated flow model can be used to estimate seismic velocities, Poissonʹs ratio, Youngʹs modulus, and uniaxial compaction. The coupling process is described and the way in which the integrated flow model facilitates the inclusion of reservoir development geophysics into the reservoir management process is illustrated.
