Abstract :
The halloysite clay deposit from the locality ‘Farbani Potok’, containing over 95% of mineral halloysite, was investigated. XRD, IR, SEM and DTA analyses confirmed that the raw material was mineral halloysite. The activation energy of dehydroxylation was determined as 169 kJ mol−1 while the value for mullitization is 715 kJ mol−1.
