Powikłania terapii niedokrwistości Blackfana i Diamonda – studium dwóch przypadków klinicznych

Diamond–Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare congenital hypoplastic anemia, diagnosed most frequently in early childhood. Since 1936, when it was first reported, many methods have been proposed for the treatment of the disease. Some of those are still used nowadays, though the rest have gone out of practice in the history of medicine. These approaches are broadly discussed in the literature in terms of their efficacy and safety. Low occurrence of the disease explains small number of systematic reports focusing of this clinical problem. In this article, we present two case reports of patients diagnosed with Diamond–Blackfan anemia, who were treated in the Department of Hematooncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Medical University of Lublin with different therapeutic strategies depending on the course of the disease.
