Abstract :
The interpretation of the Bouguer gravity anomaly on the island of Milos (Greece) reveals the major tectonic features that affected the metamorphic basement. The island has one of the most promising geothermal fields in Europe and therefore the study of the basement tectonic setting contributes to the understanding of the hot fluid circulation. The basement underlies the volcanic cover which was formed during various episodes from the middle to Late Pliocene.
