Abstract :
This paper presents the first observations of antiphase boundary (APB) tubes in the L21-structured intermetallic compound Fe2AlMn after deformation and of a corresponding deformation-induced paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition. Annealed Fe2AlMn also shows a magnetic transition below approximately 165 K. The saturation magnetization of both annealed and strained Fe2AlMn increases with decreasing temperature.
