Abstract :
SALAK technique was introduced to year one pupils to see their effectiveness in building sentences on given graphics with edutainment. SALAK is an acronym of the word (S) for ʹWhoʹ, (A) for the ʹActivitiesʹ, (L) for the ʹLocationʹ, (A) for the ʹToolsʹ and (K) refers to the ʹDescriptionʹ. Research design based on a review of year one students in four schools in the district, Selangor. The results showed that eight types of sentences can be built with this technique. The verse does not seem stereotyped, built between a sentence with other sentences. Sentences built from simple to advanced gradually to more complex sentences. Year One pupils from various levels of either low levels, average and excellent can apply this technique to build sentences quickly and effectively.
