Abstract :
A flexible coordinate measuring system based on multi-lateration with tracking laser Interferometers has been built. The problems related to the optimal design of the system are studied. The principle of redundancy and its application in self-calibration, error compensation, system optimization, lost Information recovery, and measuring range extension are discussed. A new tracking system with Independent drives and a new design of the catʹs eye are proposed. The optimal arrangement of the multi-lateration system, which is essential for improving its accuracy, is studied in detail. All the studies combine computer simulations and experiments.
