De la faune au bestiaire – La grotte Chauvet–Pont-dʹArc, aux origines de lʹart pariétal paléolithique

Résumé tations absolues et les études pluridisciplinaires menées depuis sept ans à la grotte Chauvet–Pont-dʹArc révèlent un art pariétal européen des origines, remontant à la première culture du Paléolithique supérieur : lʹAurignacien. Un changement climatique pourrait-il en avoir favorisé lʹémergence ? Aurait-il conduit de nouveaux groupes humains en des terres plus propices ? Plus largement, quel rôle lʹenvironnement joue-t-il dans la création artistique des temps paléolithiques ? De ce qui nous est donné à voir dans lʹart de Chauvet, nous tenterons dʹen déduire le paléoenvironnement et les conditions qui ont présidé à son existence. Pour citer cet article : V. Feruglio, C. R. The radiocarbon dating and the pluridisciplinary studies held since seven years in the Chauvet Cave revealed an European parietal art from the origins that trace back to the first upper Palaeolithic culture: the Aurignacian. Could a climatic change have promoted his emergence? Could have it led new human groups in some more auspicious lands? Moreover, which role the environment plays in the artistic creation of the Palaeolithic ages?
