Abstract :
In this paper, we present a MP2/6-31G* study on hydrogen-bonded dimers of heteroatomic rings that form the basic units of DNA and RNA. The use of conceptual DFT indexes and Sanderson’s approach helps rationalize the reactivity of composite systems, it can be understood in terms of the contributions of the constituent’s fragments.
