Transport in Shelikof Strait, Alaska: an update

We update and expand an earlier study dealing with computed geostrophic flow in Shelikof Strait, Alaska. Transports measured with long-term current moorings at the northern and southern sections were similar. Mean computed geostrophic transport was 0.60 × 106 m3 s−1 at the northern section and was 0.52 × 106 m3 s−1 at the southern section, indicating an approximate balance.
