Abstract :
The prediction of geometry and distribution for oil-bearing single sandbody is an important task in fine reservoir characterization. According to the geologic feature, quality of seismic data, and the study purposes of G Oilfield in Bohai Bay Basin, seismic inversion of shale volume was processed using sparse spike method. The processing result of seismic inversion was integrated into the 3D geologic modeling by combining it with the petrophysical study by co-Kriging, and a 3D geological model of shale volume with high resolution was established and met the requirement of fine reservoir characterization. The sandbodies were extracted based on the 3D shale volume model and the oil-bearing single sandbodies were tracked and interpreted by 3D visualization technology, and the 3D geometry and distribution of oil-bearing sandbodies and netpay zone were clearly obtained. It leads to the reservoir prediction with higher accuracy and reliability.
