Polymerized microemulsions

Detergents form structures in solution, and the structures obtained when monomers polymerize in detergent solutions mimic elements of these self-assembled structures. Very recent efforts have succeeded in copying the micellar structures in some oil in water microemulsions, but have found that less structure is retained when water in oil microemulsions and bicontinuous systems are used.
