Confocal microscopy of colloids

Confocal microscopy is one of the most useful morphological methods for examining specimens in their natural state. Its application to the study of colloids has been relatively limited in scope. The published work spans silica and polymer microsphere packing, phase continuity in polymer blends, and a few examples with emulsions and gels.
