Evaluating Urban Vitality at Old and Modern Neighborhoods of Cities (Case study: Tabriz City Neighborhoods)

Today creating vitality is considered one of most important objects of city development planning and vital neighborhoods can attract people to reside and other activities which increase resident satisfaction about their neighborhood. This paper studies people vitality in Tabriz city (case study, Shariati and Valiasr neighborhoods), which vitality in this neighborhoods evaluated and compared with each other. Study is based on descriptive- analytical methods and information is gathered by observation and filling questionaries’ and SPSS software is used to analyze them. Our statistical community includes 82904 residents of Valiasr and Shariati neighborhoods which are chosen by Kokaran formula. Research results depicts that vitality varies considerably in old and modern neighborhoods. Despite this, vitality factors are discerned at different neighborhoods of Tabriz city.
