Abstract
Rosinʹs law describes the cumulative distribution of particle size obtained by crushing the solid materials into dusts. Although, this distribution has been found to agree with lunar regolith samples, it should be tested with sufficient amount of experimental data for regolith like samples of known particle size distribution, so that it can be used for various remote sensing applications. In this work, we have tested the applicability of Rosinʹs distribution by comparing with experimental data for 28 different regolith like samples reported by other authors. Finally we draw a simple interpretation of the Rosin numbers (k and n) in relation to the physical parameters of the samples.
