Hydrological Response of Slopes Through Physical Experiments, Field Monitoring and Mathematical Modeling

Precipitations are one of the main landslide triggers. Thanks to the increase in knowledge and to the improvement of available tools for testing, monitoring and modeling the interaction between slopes and atmosphere, this topic has been becoming a major focus of research in the world. The Italian community is devoting a big effort on this topic, and the 3rd Italian Workshop on Landslides has played a significant role in the intensification of scientific exchanges also over the national boundaries, as indicated by the presented contributions, which are collected in this thematic issue.
