Application of the European flaw assessment procedure SINTAP to thin wall structures: Analytical assessment levels

The recently developed European flaw assessment procedure SINTAP has been applied to 29 thin sheets made of five different materials and loaded in tension, bending and biaxial tension. Based on these data the analytical SINTAP assessment levels are evaluated with respect of their ability to predict the failure loads as well as stable crack extension behaviour.
