Abstract :
Samples of MANET steel, a potential structural material for first wall and blanket of fusion devices, and of Stainless Steel 316, the structural material of the ITER shield blanket, were irradiated with 14-MeV neutrons at the facility SNEG-13. Gamma spectra were taken with Ge(Li)-spectrometers several times during 1 year of cooling. Twelve different gamma activities induced were determined. The inventory code FISPACT and the European Activation File EAF-4 were used for calculating the activities. Ratios of calculated-to-experimental values are presented for the gamma emitters dominating during this period. The time dependences of the total activity of gamma emitters in both materials are directly compared and discussed in conjunction with the calculated results.
