Modeling of electron cyclotron current drive in a tokamak with internal transport barrier

Current drive by the electromagnetic waves in the electron cyclotron range of frequency was numerically studied by the newly developed code TASK/EC. The dependence on the poloidal injection angle and the effect of negative magnetic shear associated with the internal transport barriers are studied.
