Corrigendum to “A new evolutionary algorithm for non-linear economic dispatch” [Expert Systems with Applications 38 (1) (2011) 13301–13309]

This paper presents a discussion of “A new evolutionary algorithm for non-linear economic dispatch” [Taher Niknam et al., Expert Systems with Applications 38 (2011) 13301–13309]. The discussed paper presented economic dispatch problem by experimenting with three example systems considering 10, 13, and 20-unit test systems considering convex and nonconvex cost functions with and without transmission loss. However, in the reported results for 20-unit system, the power loss calculations are different for the given generation schedule. In this discussion, clarification regarding cost calculation for 10-unit system and loss calculation for 20-unit system is presented.
